In a large container or a resealable plastic bag, combine the Aloha Shoyu (or soy sauce and water mixture), neutral oil, Sprite or 7up, minced garlic, and ground ginger. Mix well to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Add the chicken tenders to the marinade, ensuring they are fully submerged. If using a bag, press out any excess air before sealing.

Place the container or bag in the refrigerator and marinate the chicken overnight (for a minimum of 8 hours, up to 12 hours) to allow the flavors to fully develop.

The next day, preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken tenders from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.

Place the chicken tenders on the preheated grill. Grill for 3-5 minutes per side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks. If you don't have a grill, you can cook the chicken in a pan on the stove over medium-high heat with a little oil.

Ensure the internal temperature of the thickest part of the chicken reaches 160°F using a meat thermometer before removing it from the grill or pan. The temperature will rise slightly as it rests.

Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious Sprite Chicken!
