Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

In a large bowl, combine the trimmed and halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to ensure the sprouts are evenly coated.

Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until tender-crisp and slightly charred, tossing halfway through.

While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, prepare the honey miso glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the white miso paste, honey, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated fresh ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using) until smooth.

Once the Brussels sprouts are roasted, remove them from the oven. Pour the honey miso glaze over the hot sprouts and toss gently to coat them thoroughly. Return the glazed sprouts to the oven for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the glaze is slightly caramelized and sticky.

Transfer the glazed Brussels sprouts to a serving dish. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and fresh chopped cilantro, if desired. Serve immediately as a delicious side dish.
