Cut the brioche loaf into approximately 1-inch cubes. Arrange the brioche cubes evenly in a 9x13 inch casserole dish.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, salt, vanilla extract, and sugar cookie creamer (if using) until well combined and smooth.

Pour the custard mixture evenly over the brioche cubes in the casserole dish, ensuring all the bread is thoroughly saturated. Gently press down on the bread with a spatula if needed to help it absorb the liquid.

Cover the casserole dish tightly with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and refrigerate overnight (or for at least 8 hours). This allows the brioche to fully soak up the custard, resulting in a soft and flavorful casserole.

The next morning, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Remove the casserole dish from the refrigerator and uncover it.

Bake the casserole for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown, the edges are set, and a knife inserted into the center comes out mostly clean. The internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C).

Once baked, remove the casserole from the oven. Let it cool for a few minutes before garnishing.

Top the warm French toast casserole generously with fresh berries. Dust with powdered sugar and serve individual portions with a drizzle of warm maple syrup.
