Gather all the ingredients: He Shou Wu, Rehmannia, Solomon's Seal, Angelica root, and filtered water. Place all of them into a large pot suitable for boiling.

Place the pot on the stove over high heat and bring the mixture to a rolling boil. Ensure all herbs are submerged in the water.

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let the tonic simmer gently for 1 hour. This allows the herbs to release their beneficial properties into the water.

After simmering, carefully remove the pot from the heat. Using a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth, strain the tonic to separate the liquid from the spent herbs. Discard the herbs.

The He Shou Wu Tonic is now ready. Serve it warm for a comforting drink, or allow it to cool completely and serve chilled. Store any leftover tonic in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
