In a small bowl, combine 1 cup warm milk and 1 teaspoon granulated sugar. Sprinkle in 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes foamy.

In a large bowl, whisk together 3 cups all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon salt.

Pour the activated yeast mixture, 1/4 cup olive oil, and 1/4 cup warm water into the dry flour mixture. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.

Place the kneaded dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until it has doubled in size.

While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup softened butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1 tablespoon cinnamon. Mix until the mixture is smooth.

Once the dough has risen, transfer it to a lightly floured surface. Roll the dough out into a large rectangle, approximately 12x18 inches.

Evenly spread the cinnamon sugar filling over the entire surface of the rolled-out dough.

Tightly roll the dough into a log shape from one of the longer sides.

Slice the log into 12 equal pieces.

Arrange the sliced pieces in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Cover the dish and let the dough rise for another 30 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 375°F.

Bake the focaccia for 25-30 minutes, or until it turns golden brown.

While the focaccia is baking, prepare the glaze. Whisk together 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons milk, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.

Once baked, drizzle the warm focaccia with the prepared glaze. Serve warm.
