Press the tofu with paper towels to remove excess water. Cut the 300 grams of tofu into uniform rectangular pieces, approximately 1.5-2 inches long and 0.5 inches thick.

Thinly slice 1/2 of an onion.

Thinly slice 1 stalk of green onion diagonally.

Prepare the sauce by combining 4 tablespoons of Yondu, 1 teaspoon of gochujang, 1 tablespoon of gochugaru, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, a dash of black pepper, and about 1 cup of water in a bowl. Whisk all ingredients until well combined.

Place the thinly sliced onions and green onions evenly on the bottom of a pan.

Arrange the cut tofu pieces on top of the layer of onions and green onions in the pan.

Pour the prepared sauce mixture evenly over the tofu and vegetables.

Simmer the dish over medium heat until the sauce has reduced significantly and thickened. This will take approximately 15-20 minutes.

Taste the dish and adjust the seasoning as desired.

Serve and enjoy as a delicious Korean banchan.
