Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Line a loaf pan with parchment paper, ensuring there is an overhang on the sides for easy removal later.

In a large bowl, mash the 200 grams of ripe bananas thoroughly with a fork until they are mostly smooth.

Pour the 113 grams of melted unsalted butter into the mashed bananas and stir well to combine.

Add the 100 grams of packed light brown sugar and 50 grams of granulated sugar to the banana mixture. Stir until both sugars are fully incorporated.

Crack in the 1 large egg and add the 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Whisk the mixture until everything is thoroughly combined.

In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the 180 grams of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix the batter.

Gently fold in the 170 grams of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 55 grams of chopped walnuts.

Pour the prepared batter evenly into the lined loaf pan.

If desired, sprinkle flaky sea salt over the top of the batter.

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the banana bread comes out clean.

Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before carefully lifting it out using the parchment paper overhang and transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
