Place the 8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs in a large baking dish.

Drizzle the 2 tablespoons of olive oil evenly over the chicken thighs.

Sprinkle the 1/2 tablespoon of salt over the chicken.

Sprinkle the 1/4 tablespoon of pepper over the chicken.

Sprinkle the 1 1/2 tablespoons of dried oregano over the chicken.

Squeeze the juice from the 2 lemons directly over the chicken in the baking dish.

Add the 1/4 cup of plain yogurt on top of the chicken.

Using your hands, thoroughly massage all the ingredients into the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated.

Add the squeezed lemon halves (or additional lemon slices if desired) and the 6 unpeeled garlic cloves into the baking dish with the chicken.

Allow the chicken to marinate at room temperature for at least 1 hour. For best results, you can marinate it in the refrigerator for up to 4 hours or overnight.

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Bake the chicken, uncovered, in the preheated oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the size of the chicken thighs.

The chicken is fully cooked when a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of a piece of chicken registers an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Serve the Lemon Yogurt Chicken hot and enjoy!
