In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Whisk the dry ingredients thoroughly until well combined.

Add the very warm milk and 3 tablespoons of melted butter to the dry ingredients.

Mix all ingredients with a spatula until a cohesive dough starts to form.

Lightly flour a clean countertop or work surface. Transfer the dough ball to the floured surface and lightly flour the top of the dough. Knead the dough for 4 minutes. To knead, fold the dough in half, then push through the center of it. Rotate, fold, and push. Repeat this motion for the entire 4 minutes. If the dough becomes sticky, sprinkle more flour on it as needed.

After kneading, form the dough into one large ball. Using a knife, cut the dough into 8 equal pieces.

Take each piece of dough and roll it into a smooth ball.

Take the cold stick of butter and thoroughly grease a 10 to 12 inch skillet, ensuring all surfaces that the rolls will touch are well coated.

Arrange the 8 dough balls evenly spaced into the greased skillet.

Cover the skillet with a warm, damp towel. Place the covered skillet in a warm spot, such as near a window, for 15 minutes to allow the rolls to rise.

While the rolls are rising, preheat your oven to 400°F.

After 15 minutes, the rolls should have fluffed up and may be touching, which is perfectly fine. Brush the tops of the risen rolls with some of the remaining melted butter.

Bake the rolls on the top rack of the preheated oven for 15 to 17 minutes, or until they are golden brown and fluffy.

Immediately after removing the rolls from the oven, brush them again with the remaining melted butter and sprinkle a little flaky salt on top.

Serve the warm, light, fluffy, buttery, and salty dinner rolls and enjoy!
