Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, 3 tablespoons of whole milk, and 1 stick of melted unsalted butter.

Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips to the bowl with the brownie mixture.

Mix the batter until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can lead to a tougher brownie texture.

Line a 10-inch baking dish with parchment paper, allowing some overhang on the sides to easily lift the brownies out later. Lightly spray the parchment paper with non-stick spray.

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly with a spatula.

Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or according to the package directions for your specific pan type. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out with moist crumbs, not wet batter.

Once baked, carefully remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool completely in the pan for at least 30 minutes before cutting. This allows them to set and become fudgier.

Once cooled, lift the brownies out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang, cut into squares, and enjoy!
