Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or pot over medium heat. Add the diced onion and chopped garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.

Stir in the tomato puree and cook for 1-2 minutes, allowing it to slightly reduce.

Add the black pepper, garlic powder, chili flakes, paprika, oregano, and salt to the skillet. Stir well to combine with the tomato mixture.

Pour in the fresh cream and 1/4 cup of the reserved pasta water. Stir until the sauce is smooth and heated through. Add more pasta water, a tablespoon at a time, if the sauce is too thick.

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss gently to ensure all the pasta is evenly coated.

Serve immediately, topped with shredded mozzarella cheese, fresh parsley, and optionally more chili flakes.
