Preheat your oven to 375°F.

Open the can of crescent rolls. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into individual triangles.

Place one apple slice at the wider end of each crescent roll triangle. Roll the crescent dough around the apple slice, starting from the wider end and rolling towards the pointed end.

Arrange the assembled apple dumplings into a 13x9 inch pan.

In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Mix these two ingredients well.

Pour the melted butter evenly over the apple dumplings in the pan.

Sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly over the dumplings.

Pour the Mountain Dew (or any lemon-lime soda) over the dumplings in the pan.

Bake in the preheated oven at 375°F for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the dumplings are golden brown and the apples are tender.
Serve the apple dumplings warm, spooning the sweet, caramelized sauce from the pan over each serving.
