Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line the bottom of a round baking pan with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, crack 2 eggs. Add 100 g of sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Whisk the mixture thoroughly until well combined and slightly pale.

Add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, 180 g of milk, and 110 g of oil to the bowl with the egg mixture. Whisk again until all wet ingredients are fully incorporated.

Add 1 teaspoon of baking powder and 200 g of AP flour to the wet mixture. Continue whisking until the batter is smooth and free of any lumps.

Pour the prepared cake batter into the lined baking pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

While the cake is baking or immediately after it's removed from the oven, prepare the cake soak. Combine 100 g of chocolate milk and 2 tablespoons of chocolate spread in a small bowl. Mix these two ingredients until they are well combined and smooth.

Once the cake is baked and still warm, use a skewer or fork to poke numerous holes all over the top surface of the cake. Pour the chocolate milk and chocolate spread mixture evenly over the entire surface of the poked cake, allowing it to soak in.

Prepare the chocolate crunch topping. Place 100 g of corn flakes in a bowl. Melt 150 g of chocolate (this can be done in a microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, or over a double boiler).

Pour the melted chocolate over the corn flakes. Mix well with a spoon or spatula until all the corn flakes are evenly coated with chocolate.

Spread the chocolate crunch mixture evenly over the top of the soaked cake. Allow the topping to set slightly before serving.

Cut the cake into squares or desired portions and serve.
