Measure the Chex cereal into a large heatproof bowl. Set aside.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips. Microwave on high for 30 seconds, stir, then continue microwaving in 15-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth and fully melted.

Pour the melted white chocolate over the Chex cereal. Add the dried cranberries and orange zest. Gently stir with a rubber spatula until the cereal is evenly coated.

Pour the powdered sugar into a large 2-gallon resealable plastic bag. Add the coated cereal mixture to the bag.

Seal the bag, leaving some air inside. Shake vigorously for 2-3 minutes, or until the cereal is completely coated with powdered sugar.

Spread the muddy buddies in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Allow to cool completely for at least 15 minutes before serving.
