Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan.

Peel the 3 ripe bananas and place them into a large mixing bowl. Mash them thoroughly with a fork until mostly smooth with a few small lumps remaining.

Add the 1/3 cup of melted butter to the mashed bananas and stir to combine.

Stir in the 1 teaspoon of baking soda and a pinch of salt.

Add the 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, 1 large egg, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the banana mixture. Mix all the ingredients together in the bowl until they are well combined.

Add the 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour to the wet ingredients. Mix the batter gently until the flour is just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can lead to a tough banana bread.

Pour the prepared batter into the greased loaf pan, spreading it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven at 350°F for 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. The top should be golden brown.

Once baked, remove the banana bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before carefully transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve.
