Preheat your oven to 375°F. Grease a 9x9 inch baking dish with the melted butter, ensuring all sides and the bottom are coated.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. Break it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Once fully cooked and no longer pink, drain any excess fat from the skillet.

While the beef is cooking, unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles. Cut each triangle into 3-4 smaller pieces.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Add the cooked ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, and the cut crescent roll pieces to the egg mixture. Gently fold everything together until all ingredients are evenly distributed and the crescent pieces are coated.

Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly. Place the baking dish into the preheated oven.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is golden brown on top, puffed up, and the center is set. A knife inserted into the center should come out clean.

Carefully remove the casserole from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. This allows it to set further and makes it easier to cut into individual bites.
