Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the Trader Joe's Organic Black Pepper Barilotti Pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.

While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the Trader Joe's Hot Italian Sausage (casings removed) and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

Drain any excess grease from the sausage. Add the diced yellow onion and red bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the minced garlic and red pepper flakes and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.

Pour in the Trader Joe's Calabrian Chili Spicy Pasta Sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Add the cooked and drained pasta to the sauce. Stir in the chopped fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash or two of the reserved pasta water until it reaches your desired consistency.

Serve immediately, garnished with additional fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese.
