Preheat the oven to 325°F.

Empty the brownie mix from the package into a large mixing bowl. Add 1 egg and 1/3 cup milk. Mix the ingredients by hand with a spatula until just combined.

Add 1 full can of strawberry pie filling to the brownie batter. Mix the strawberry pie filling into the brownie batter by hand until incorporated.

Pour the combined brownie and strawberry mixture into a 7x11 inch baking pan. Bake at 325°F for 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs. Watch the time closely as ovens vary.

Allow the baked brownie to cool fully. This may take at least 2 hours.

While the brownie is cooling, pour 2 cups of whipping cream into a measuring cup. Add 1 box of instant vanilla pudding mix (102g) to the whipping cream. Using a hand mixer, whisk the mixture until a stabilized whipped cream topping forms.

Thaw frozen strawberries (this can be done overnight in the fridge). Blend the thawed strawberries until smooth to create a strawberry sauce.

Once the brownie is cooled, pour the blended strawberry sauce over the brownie. Dollop and spread the prepared whipped cream topping evenly over the strawberry layer.

Cut and serve the "hot mess" immediately.
