Preheat the oven to 400°F.

In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, chopped fresh rosemary, chopped fresh thyme, minced garlic, basil paste, Dijon mustard, butter garlic seasoning, complete seasoning, onion powder, black pepper, dried sage, oregano, and crushed red pepper. Mix all ingredients thoroughly with a wooden spoon until well combined to create the marinade.

Add the bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs to the marinade in the bowl. Coat the chicken thoroughly, ensuring each piece is well covered. For best results, allow the chicken to marinate for at least 30 minutes, or longer if time permits.

Arrange the sliced small onion in an even layer on the bottom of a baking dish. If desired, you can add potatoes or other vegetables at this stage to create a one-pan meal.

Place the marinated chicken thighs on top of the sliced onions in the baking dish. Pour any remaining marinade from the bowl over the chicken.

Dress up the chicken by placing lemon slices on top of each chicken thigh.

Bake the chicken uncovered in the preheated oven at 400°F for 50 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.

Remove the baking dish from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in more tender and flavorful chicken.
