Crack 2 eggs into a bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of milk, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of pepper. Whisk the mixture thoroughly until well combined. Repeat this process for each individual snack you plan to make, or multiply the ingredients and whisk all at once if making multiple servings simultaneously.

Take 1 slice of bread and use a knife or a 2-inch cookie cutter to carefully cut out the middle square or circular portion. Set the cut-out piece aside.

Heat a large non-stick pan over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and allow it to melt and coat the pan.

Once the butter has melted, place the outer crust of the bread slice into the pan. Immediately pour one portion of the whisked egg mixture into the empty hole of the bread.

Place the previously cut-out bread piece directly on top of the cooking egg mixture in the center of the hole.

Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the bottom side of the bread is lightly browned and the egg is mostly set. Carefully flip the entire piece of bread and egg using a spatula.

Immediately place 1 slice of cheese on top of the cooked egg. Lay 2 slices of ham over the cheese.

Fold one side of the bread over the ham and cheese to create a sandwich. Press down lightly with a spatula to help the cheese melt and the ingredients adhere.

Flip the folded sandwich to toast the other side for 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted. Remove the cooked breakfast snack from the pan and serve immediately. Repeat for remaining servings.
