Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Place the tomatoes, jalapeños, and peeled garlic cloves on a roasting pan lined with foil.

Roast in the preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes, or until softened and slightly charred.

Once roasted, carefully remove the garlic cloves from their skins; they should squeeze out easily.

Remove the stems from the roasted jalapeños and cut them into rounds.

Add the roasted tomatoes, roasted jalapeños, and roasted garlic cloves to a blender.

Add the chopped white onion to the blender.

Add the chopped cilantro to the blender.

Add the juice of the lime to the blender.

Add the salt to the blender.

Blend all ingredients until smooth, or to your desired consistency.

Pour the blended salsa into a serving bowl.

Garnish with a few fresh cilantro leaves, if desired.

Serve immediately with your favorite chips or as a topping for other dishes.
