Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Prepare the Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix according to the package directions. Once prepared, drop spoonfuls of the biscuit dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. It's okay if there are small gaps, as the dough will spread.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk (or heavy cream), salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Sprinkle the crumbled cooked breakfast sausage evenly over the biscuit dough in the baking dish. Then, pour the egg mixture over the sausage and biscuit dough.

Top the casserole evenly with the shredded cheddar cheese.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is bubbly and lightly golden brown. A knife inserted into the center should come out clean.

While the casserole is baking, if your biscuit mix came with a garlic herb butter packet, prepare it according to the package instructions. If not, melt 1 tablespoon of butter and stir in 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder and 1/4 teaspoon of dried parsley.

Once the casserole is out of the oven, brush the top generously with the prepared garlic herb butter. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
