In a microwave-safe mug or baking dish, melt the butter.

Whisk the fine sugar and milk into the melted butter until well combined.

Stir in the all-purpose flour and baking soda until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Optionally, stir in chocolate chips, measuring with your soul. Sprinkle a few additional chocolate chips on top of the dough.

Cook the pudding using one of the following methods: Microwave for 1 minute. OR Bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for 8-9 minutes until the edges are set but the center is still soft. This should also work in an air-fryer.

Serve immediately with a swoop of ice cream on top and dive in!
