Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners or grease it well. This is a great job for little helpers!

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Make sure there are no lumps!

In a separate medium bowl, combine the pureed sweet potato, milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract. Whisk until everything is smooth and happy.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently with a spoon or spatula until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, or your muffins might get tough. A few lumps are okay!

Fold in the chocolate chips. Save a few extra to sprinkle on top if you like!

Divide the batter evenly among the 12 muffin cups. Fill each cup about two-thirds full. If you saved some, sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top now!

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean. Let them cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy your yummy, secretly veggie-filled treats!
