Preheat your oven to 350°F.

In a small, rectangular glass baking dish, combine the softened cream cheese with the grated cheddar cheese. Mix these together thoroughly with a spoon until well combined.

Sprinkle the onion powder and garlic powder over the cheese mixture. Mix thoroughly again to ensure the seasonings are evenly distributed.

Place the baking dish into the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese mixture is melted and bubbly.

While the cheese is baking, measure out approximately 7 ounces of jalapeño jelly (combining green and red varieties if desired for color) into a microwave-safe bowl.

Microwave the jalapeño jelly for about 30 seconds, or until it is melted and easily pourable. Stir to ensure consistency.

Once the cheese mixture is bubbly and ready, carefully remove it from the oven. Pour the melted jalapeño jelly evenly over the top of the hot cheese mixture.

Serve the warm dip immediately with crackers.
