In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of active dry yeast, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Mix well.
Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 3/4 cup of warm water to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece into a breadstick shape.
Place the breadsticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
While the breadsticks are baking, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley in a small bowl.
Once the breadsticks are done, brush them with the garlic butter and serve warm.
